Ann's Miniature Theremin Composition of the Day

Mini Compositions on Theremin Created Daily by Ann Cantelow.

All new and original. These little pieces range from about 20 to 40 seconds in length and are also suitable for use as ringtones. They are done using my Moog theremin, connected to my computer via an M-Audio Fast Track interface box. Tracks are mixed using Garageband software.

About the names of the pieces: These pieces are not meant to portray anything or anyone in particular. The names are just picked out of the air, or they match a name that is prominent and sympathetic in the news at the time, or they come from some other place in my psyche or memory, or they are selected from lists of baby names on the net. The pieces usually go in a different direction than any original inspiration that might have influenced the name selection, but I don't change the names to fit the real mood.

Note codes: T- All tracks are theremin only; t- Almost all comes from the theremin; To- tonal; Tv- Vaguely tonal or dissonant; Nt- not at all tonal; Ot- is it Just Intonation, or is it just badly out of tune?; Ts- tonal with some sweeps thrown in.

The m4r files are suitable for an iphone. To use an m4r file for iPhones, download the file to disk, then import into iTunes. You can then put it in the iTunes ringtones folder, and sync it to your iPhone as you would music.

Sorry, but I'm not an expert on loading these to other phones. You'll need to use Google to find methods for putting mp3 files on your particular phone, I think. There are applications available to do this, probably some of them free.
